Dog car seat “Big Flannel” – XXL Graphite
Large dogs deserve more than just a blanket in the trunk. The XXL is a full-fledged travel bed for the back seat and trunk – high, thickly padded walls envelop your dog like a den where they feel safe, even on long journeys. What was once a source of anxiety in the car becomes a favorite spot that just happens to be on the move.
The "Big Flanell" in graphite is an exceptionally soft car seat: flannel inside and out, that softly brushed, slightly textured fabric familiar from the best winter shirts. In muted graphite, it appears calm and understated – a bed that feels like a favorite sweater and simply belongs in the car.
The floor cushion: a mattress, not cotton wool.
Large dogs have a hard surface to lie on – their bones press through thin padding. That's why the XXL model has a firm base cushion with a foam core that doesn't give way like cotton wool, but supports the body like a small mattress. Your dog won't sink in, but will lie flat – even after hours.
Will your dog fit inside?
Measure your dog when he's curled up or lying on his side, from nose to rear end – this is the measurement he needs for his sleeping area, plus a few centimeters of extra space. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one: he needs room to turn around and lie down comfortably. A dog that's stretched out needs the full length – for him, the length he's lying on is what counts.
From bed to sofa
Zippers on the sides: Open them, and the walls fold flat outwards. The bed becomes a large lounging area where your dog can stretch out – and side entry is easier for him without having to climb over a high wall.

A bed only provides peace when it doesn't move. The XXL model has three ways to securely position itself in the car – you only need one, no tools required:
- With the seatbelt: Large tab at the back – pull the seatbelt through and lock it in place.
- About the backrest: lower outer rings – stretch the supplied strap over the backrest.
- About the headrest: Fastening rings – hook the strap and guide it over the headrest.
Important: the right harnesses for your dog
At this size, your dog will be secured to the harness with one of our safety belts:
- Safety belt for the headrest – 25,00 €
- Safety belt with Isofix hooks – 25,00 €
- Safety Belt Flex – 12,00 €
Always secure with the harness, never with the collar.
Completely removable, washable at 30°C
Sand, fur, wet paws – it's all fine. Open the zipper, remove the foam core, and put the cover in the washing machine at 30°C. Do not tumble dry. Leave the foam core out to air out.
Another tip from experience: One of our Cover It quickly takes on his scent – first in the basket, then in bed. A familiar smell is more calming than any coaxing, and it's more comfortable too.

The delivery was incredibly fast and the package was so lovingly packed. The car hasn't arrived yet, unfortunately, but I've already tried it out. Henning weighs 20 kg and is about 42 cm tall for comparison. The automatic mattresses and the pump with a 240-volt connection were also ordered. I haven't been able to give any information about those yet.
I have a Shiba Inu, she's 4 months and doesn't like the car for now, this seat changed it. Now she relaxes
I'm absolutely thrilled with the 'Big Flannel' car seat. My Cocker Spaniel immediately jumped into it and didn't want to get out. Now she can finally stretch out properly on long journeys and take a comfortable nap.
Four stars, but only for one reason: the seatbelt is far too long and can't be shortened enough to ensure a secure and comfortable fit in the back seat. I would have preferred it so that the left and middle seats in the back were occupied, leaving one seat free for any passengers. I tried it in two different cars, a VW Tiguan and a Skoda Fabia, and in neither could the seatbelt be adjusted properly behind the rear seat. I'll have to shorten the seatbelt manually. At this price, that's obviously a major drawback, but otherwise, I find the quality and workmanship truly excellent, which is why I'll be keeping this wonderful car seat.
