"Safe From Rain" dog raincoat – white with light grey corduroy collar
White is the color no one would expect to see on a raincoat – and that's precisely why the "Safe From Rain" in off-white stands out. Hand-sewn by us in Hamburg, it keeps your dog dry and warm on wet, cold days: the outer layer is a smooth, extremely water-repellent raincoat fabric that dries quickly and is pleasantly stretchy, while the inner layer is soft polar fleece. The high collar is lined with light gray wide-wale corduroy. This looks more elegant than fleece – and is, above all, more practical: where the collar rubs against the collar, fleece becomes rough and pills over time. Wide-wale corduroy withstands this and still looks like new even after many walks. And if you're wondering whether white is too delicate for everyday use: a damp microfiber cloth is all it takes to wipe splashes and mud off the smooth outer fabric.
Two details make all the difference in the rain. The belly flap keeps the chest and belly dry and warm – precisely the areas where most dog coats remain open, allowing water spray to splash up. And there are openings for the leash and harness: one in the collar, already open, and optional ones on the back, which are initially sewn shut. If you need them, you can open them in seconds. If you don't, they stay closed, keeping the back dry.

Fit and size
The coat is designed to accommodate a sweater underneath. Measure your dog's back length from the withers to the base of the tail and compare it to the size chart. If the back length falls exactly between two sizes and your dog is wearing the coat directly on its fur, choose the smaller size. The rear hem is also adjustable in length, and the chest and belly straps are infinitely adjustable with Velcro.

The back length is the measurement of your dog, the chest circumference refers to the garment.To help you determine which size corresponds to which breed:

Every "Safe From Rain" coat is hand-sewn by us in Hamburg. The choice of materials and workmanship are designed to ensure the coat lasts for many autumns and winters – a piece to keep, not a seasonal item.
Material and care
- Outer fabric: Rain jacket fabric, 55% polyester, 45% polyurethane
- Inner fabric: Polar fleece, 75% polyester, 25% viscose
- Washable at 30°C on a gentle cycle or by hand.
- Do not use fabric softener.
- Do not dry in direct sunlight, do not iron.
