Medium-sized dogs usually travel in the trunk of a car – behind a barrier, out of sight and far away from you. That's exactly what we wanted to change.

The XXL-LONG is designed to fit lengthwise on the back seat. There, it transforms into a spacious travel bed where your dog can stretch out comfortably while still staying close to you. He can see you, you can see him – and yet the seat only takes up about two-thirds of the back seat, leaving room for a passenger.

Your dog travels with you – not behind you. And if you need the back seat for something else, the XXL-LONG feels just as at home in the trunk.

The floor cushion: a mattress, not cotton wool.

Large dogs have difficulty lying down – their bones press through thin padding. That's why the XXL-LONG has a newly developed base cushion with a firm foam core, approximately 6 to 7 cm thick: it doesn't give way like cotton wool, but supports like a small mattress. Your dog won't sink in, but will lie flat – even on long journeys.

Will your dog fit inside?

Measure your dog when he's lying stretched out on his side, from nose to tail – this is the measurement he needs for his sleeping area. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one: he needs room to stretch out and turn around. And consider how your dog lies – a dog who's fully stretched out needs the full length, while a dog who's fully extended needs the extra space. Slide-out-Area. Opens up on all sides

What makes the XXL-LONG special: All four sides can be opened with a zipper. This creates a flat entry towards the car door – ideal for large, older, or dogs with sensitive joints. No climbing over high sides, just get in and lie down. And once you arrive, the car seat transforms into a spacious sofa for your dog to stretch out on.

A bed only provides peace when it doesn't move. The XXL-LONG has three ways to securely stand in the car on the back – you only need one, without tools:

1. With the seatbelt: Large tab at the back – pull the seatbelt through and lock it in place.
2. About the backrest: lower outer rings – stretch the supplied strap over the backrest.
3. About the headrest: Fastening rings – hook the strap and guide it over the headrest.

A safety note: If you're using the bed on the front passenger seat, deactivate the passenger airbag – a deploying airbag is dangerous for a dog in the seat. This isn't necessary on the back seat.

Completely removable, washable at 30°C

Sand, fur, wet paws – it's all fair game. Open the zipper, remove the foam core, and put the cover in the washing machine at 30°C. Do not tumble dry. Leave the foam core out to air out.

Another tip from experience: One of our Cover It quickly takes on his scent – ​​first in the basket, then in bed. A familiar smell is more calming than any coaxing, and it's more comfortable too.
